Marc joined the Merchant Navy in 2006 and his mixed theoretical and practical training programme saw him serving worldwide on a range of vessels including Containers, Break Bulk Cargo, Cruise Vessels, and Coastal Dredgers. Since graduating with a BSc (Hons) Merchant Ship Operations Degree, Marine Vessel Operations NVQ, and STCW Class II/1 Certificate of Competency, Marc then worked on a number of self-discharging break bulk vessels.
Marc’s shoreside experience has seen him work within vessel ownership where he managed the Marine Assurance and Audit programme for a fleet of 30+ offshore vessels including AHTS, PSVs, Construction Vessels, and Dive vessels. Marc has also held roles within worldwide drilling contractors with KCA Deutag where he managed a fleet of Tender Assist Drilling Barges and Jack-Up drilling units.
Since leaving KCA Deutag, Marc has held a number of consultancy roles. Firstly at InterMoor where he was responsible for managing a number of key clients’ marine projects including mooring installation, rig moving, FPSO mooring maintenance, and towage work scopes both internationally and within the North Sea. Marc then held a role with Bureau Veritas managing a variety of Marine Assurance and Warranty scopes through the MAC subsidiary prior to joining FMS.
With such diverse experience in marine operations and project management, coupled with a strong history of providing first class service to industry, Marc is key to developing and expanding FMS’ marine engineering and consultancy services to the energy industry.
